I recently attended the NCTIES conference at the Raleigh Civic Center. NCTIES is a annual conference presented by teachers, college professors, educational administrators, and educational technology vendors. I had the chance to listen to Richard Byrne, a teacher in Portland, Maine at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Richard Byrne is known for his website called freetech4teachers. This website gets over 100,000 hits a month and it only features FREE tools for education.

  1. Dale,

I attended NC TIES this month also. I had so many ideas of how to use technology in my school when I left that I thought my head would explode! I didn't get to see Richard Byrne, so thanks for highlighting his Web page. I saw tools that I would like to try right away. One of my favorite presenters is Kathy Schrock. She talked about information literacy, which I think is a key part of 21st century skills. This page (http://kathyschrock.net/index.htm) has a link to her many pages.
